The consultancy’s principal, Tony
Woodcock, has over thirty years of planning experience in both the
public and private sector. Before establishing Tony Woodcock Planning
Consultants in 2003, Tony was Director of Environmental and Planning
Services for a well known North East council. He has also acted
as a consultant for the Regional Development Agency, One NorthEast,
where he was responsible for liaising with the Office of the Deputy
Prime Minister (ODPM) on behalf of the nine regional development
agencies. During his public sector career Tony managed the town
planning and economic development functions at a number of local
authorities. He now acts as a consultant for a variety of private
sector clients operating in diverse business environments including
sport and leisure, tourism development, construction and agriculture.
Tony also offers planning advice to clients on matters relating
to private housing and business premises.

Tony has been a member of the Royal
Town Planning Institute for twenty five years and has a degree in
Town and Country Planning from Newcastle University.
During his Local government career
Tony was a member of the Planning Officers Society as well as sitting
on the steering committee for the RTPI Yorkshire Branch Planning
Aid service. He has also chaired the Stokesley Conservation Advisory
Committee and was a representative of the Northumberland District
Planning Authorities on the steering group for both versions of
Regional Planning Guidance.
Pamela Woodcock has worked
for the consultancy since its inception. A former civil servant,
she held posts with Defra and more recently worked as a business
development manager within the water industry. |
