Local planning policies are in the process
of changing from Local and Unitary Plans into what are now known
as Local Development Frameworks.
These Local Development Frameworks
are used to define both general planning policies and specific land
use allocations.
Some policies are unchanged under
the new planning regime which paradoxically makes the situation
even more complex. The consultancy is experienced in the processes
involved and will navigate the system on your behalf.
Many local planning authorities
now produce Supplementary Planning Guidance on a range of different
topics from design of shop facades, to the management of housing
supply. We can interpret this supplementary advice for you. |

Some authorities go beyond the parameters
which national planning legislation and advice has identified or
fail to consult adequately on the supplementary guidance. We understand
these guidelines and procedures and can challenge unreasonable decision
making.
